GEORGETOWN, Del. — A member of the Delaware Army National Guard has been charged with raping a fellow soldier at the Georgetown Armory and sexual extortion.
Georgetown police say Staff Sgt. Theodoric Dixon, 36, was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree rape, unlawful imprisonment, sexual extortion, coercion and official misconduct. He has since been released.
Police say Dixon forced a female soldier to pose for revealing photos and, in a separate incident last year, forced her to have sex.
Police say the woman told a judge advocate general about the alleged rape this month while serving in Iraq. Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Len Gratteri says officials immediately contacted Georgetown authorities.
Gratteri says Dixon could be discharged if he is found guilty.
