I made a 100-mile trek to Indio this morning to catch the preliminary hearing for Richard Heverly, the San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy accused of holding a gun to a man’s head and threatening to kill him during an apparent road-rage incident.
The preliminary hearing, which would have included testimony from a CHP officer and possibly others, was postponed to Feb. 3 for unspecified reasons.
